TVXQ has the top selling album… in the world?
Many of you know that TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki’s Best Selection 2010 album is a best seller in Japan but did you also know that it’s the best selling album in the world this past week?
According to GLOBAL TRACK CHART which is an aggregate of various charts across the globe (Billboard, Oricon, etc.), TVXQ’s Best Selection 2010 album had the top sales globally for week 9 of 2010 by moving 413,000 units. Number 2 was Sadé – Soldier Of Love which moved 289,000 units and Number 3 was Lady GaGa – The Fame (Monster) which moved 187,000 units.
TVXQ was helped by the fact that their album debuted this past week… even still, this is quite an accomplishment! Congratulations to TVXQ! Thanks to yamaㅋㅋ for the tip and sharingyoochun for sharing the information.
TVXQ’s Toki Wo Tomete covers revealed
The boys of TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki are planning to release a new single titled Toki Wo Tomete / Let’s Stop Time on March 24th. Even though that’s still about a month away, the covers of the CD+DVD and regular CD version have been released.

Johnny’s NEWS backs down from TVXQ?
A Johnny’s Entertainment group backing down from TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki? That seems to be the case according to NewDaily.
Johnny’s Entertainment group NEWS was scheduled to release their single さくらガール/ Sakura Girl on March 24th, which happens to be the date in which TVXQ is scheduled to drop their new single Toki Wo Tomete / Let’s Stop Time.
After some discussions, NEWS has decided to delay their release of Sakura Girl by a week. A JRA (Japan Record Association) representative stated, “The reason for the delay by NEWS is probably because they’re afraid to go head to head with TVXQ in sales and on the charts. NEWS has had 11 straight #1’s on the Oricon and that streak could very well be broken if they faced off against TVXQ. For NEWS sake, it was wise for them to make this decision.”
Fans of NEWS have stated that they’re showing weakness against TVXQ and they’re frustrated over the delay. I remember reading the comments section of allkpop back during the Purple Line days and many people stated that TVXQ would never even sniff the level of a Johnny’s Group, my have they grown[INFO] 「All About 東方神起 Season 3」 Won Best DVD at The Japan Gold Disc Awards
